1 Liner

1-Liner-fringe-comedy“They said I was a one-liner comedian and couldn’t be a storyteller comedian. Tonight I prove them wrong. Once upon a time there was a comedian who told the following one-liners….”

Ever since he got into stand-up comedy, Sean Morahan has been grateful for the huge range of comedic material that life had provided for him.  Sean has worked as a builder’s labourer, a private investigator and a salesman.  “Tough workplaces are fertile ground for comedy” says Morahan. “The jokes that consistently get the best laughs from my audiences were inspired in the workplace. As work and life in general become more stressful, it is inevitable that people seek out better stress relief and laughter is one of the best stress-relievers not sold by weight or volume.”

In writing ‘1 Liner’, Morahan held to Charlie Chaplin’s assertion that comedy is two opposite ideas that collide. He has used that comedy template to smash together, in the funniest ways he could find, many of the opposing ideas we encounter every day in our society.”

If you are wondering whether you should attend ‘1 Liner’, Morahan says “Don’t choose between storytelling comedy and one-liner comedy. Come see my show and have both!”
